Winter 2007
Virginia Hart, Tue, Jan 16, 2007
In October 28,500 Camarosa strawberries were planted. During the unseasonably warm winter they have grown rapidly. Today we have numerous blooms on each plant and many immature berries. Scott and Trey have made preparations for frost and freeze protection should we have intense cold weather. If we can carry the current immature berries to maturity harvest will begin in early to mid March. We are ready to schedule field trips for preschool groups from March 20 until April 30. Call 229-941-5971. If you leave a message we will return you call.
