Winter 2010
Virginia Hart, Wed, Dec 23, 2009
In October 23,2009; 49500 Camarosa strawberries were planted. During the winter we have protected the plants when necessary and they have grown rapidly. Today we have numerous blooms on each plant and many immature berries. Scott and Trey have made preparations for frost and freeze protection should we have more intense cold weather. If we can carry the current immature berries to maturity harvest will begin in mid March. We are ready to schedule field trips for preschool groups from March 20 until April 30. Call 229-941-5971. If you leave a message we will return you call.
